Lourdes Sumpaico-Tanchanco MD, MScPrincipal InvestigatorDr. Tanchanco received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Ateneo de Manila University, and graduated Doctor of Medicine from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. She underwent residency training in Pediatrics and fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Philippine General Hospital, where she also obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology.
Dr. Tanchanco is an Associate Professor and appointed Director for Research and Innovation at the ASMPH. She is a consultant for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics of The Medical City. She is the co-founder and clinic director of MedMom Institute for Human Developlement. Dr. Tanchanco has been invited to numerous conferences locally and internationally to speak as an expert in her field. |
Angel Belle Dy, MD, MBACo-Principal InvestigatorDr. Dy received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of the Philippines, Manila, and completed her Doctor of Medicine and Master in Business Administration at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed the International Training Program for Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the UC Davis MIND Institute and is currently undergoing her Master’s degree in Demography and Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
She is the clinic manager of the MedMom Institute for Human Development, and is part of the faculty of the ASMPH. She is certified as a Basic Floortime Practitioner and co-developed the WePlay early intervention program for Filipino children at risk for developmental delays. Dr. Dy has also published works on autism and Fragile X. Jose Carlos Ruben R. JavierResearch AssistantChuck Javier graduated Ateneo de Manila University Loyola Schools with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Minor in Sociology in 2015. He is currently a third-year medical student in the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health, taking up a double degree of Doctor of Medicine and Master in Business Administration. He is a research assistant in the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH) under the project IHITM 2017-24 and will take part in data collection and analysis.
Ivyjoy C. Martinez, MA, RPm, RPsyResearch AssistantIvy Martinez is a licensed psychologist. She finished her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University. For the past three years, her work revolved mainly on psychological assessment and interventions with children and adolescents. While she was in graduate school, she was involved as research assistant in projects such as test construction and community interventions. She currently works as a research assistant at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH) under the project IHITM 2017-24 and will take part in data collection (assessment) and analysis.
Rey Kristoffer V. SalinasResearch AssistantRey graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines Diliman, with a special interest in the mechanisms underlying tumor metastasis as well as the molecular roots of neurological and psychiatric disorders. As a part of the National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology's Protein Structure and Immunology Laboratory, Rey worked on the analysis of cancer patient-derived mutations in the integrin alpha-V subtype. Currently, Rey is a Research Assistant at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH) under the project IHITM 2017-24 Technology Transfer of Clinical and Molecular Advances in Autism, an educational grant funded by the CHED-PCARI group. Rey will be part of the research staff for this study and will take part in the genetic analysis of patient samples at the SGCL and the MIND Institute at UC Davis.
